  1. Now that is what I call some briliant work, it all looks superb and your eye for detail is excellent. I take my hat off to you. Its a lovely read seeing this progress.
  2. A big tough looking truck and that hiab looks pretty handy too!
  3. Absolutely lovely little car, condition looks great. I have a 1937 Ford 10 7W so the 8 and 10hp Fords are a favourite!
  4. Bet that was a good feeling getting her out on road. I havent driven anything pre 1930's but can imagine this would be quite a thing to drive!
  5. I think that engine looks very good, I think the mix of painted and non painted parts really sets it off.
  6. I've hit that on a project we have here. We bought it with the engine fully stripped but not labelled and with some bits missing. We have spent so much time trying yo solve the jigsaw that we've lost a bit of interest. This week I simply havent touched the engine but started sorting what panels etc I can still use for patterns and which I can take to work to fabricate. We all need some variety to keep it interesting.
  7. No harm in doing it while the sun is shining aswel! I generally work on various aspects when doing a restoration, I have found in the past that getting stuck on something for months can sap the enthusiasm out of you. Mixing it up and working on different jobs keeps you focused and the project moving.
  8. Looks very nice, hope it finds a good new home.
  9. That would make sense, a simple viewing platform. I wonder how they got up there? Must be a ladder somewhere!
  10. The railing doesn't look like it offers much protection! I wouldn't fancy sitting up there whilst descending a very steep hill!!
  11. The Battledress Blouse I bought arrived today, superb condition. 49 pattern date stamped 1951. I collect Royal Navy Uniform usually but wanted a battledress that fits me for some choice when we do events. Trousers, shirt/tie and a beret/sidecap next on the list.
  12. Did you have the other 2 bikes aswel?
  13. How sturdy is it? It does look very robust. I could do with something similar as one vehicle we are working on is having to be stored outside.
  14. Superb looking machine.
  15. I have just bought one off ebay for myself, I found there are plenty on there to choose from and plenty of varying sizes. I would say that buying the battledress Blouse is fine but finding battledress trousers is another matter, they seem to be thin on the ground.
  16. That could have gone sooo wrong. Good lesson learned though. We all must keep the simple things checked. Lovely vehicle by the way.
  17. Your Carrier looks superb, I really admire it. I also very much like the photo of the Churchill, being in colour adds so much life to it that you simply don't 'feel' with a black and white.
  18. That looks really good, I love the stance of the driver!
  19. I notice there are a few on ebay at the moment?
  20. So is this memorial all year round?
  21. Yes it is hard to imagine. I wonder how many Transits will be still around in 100 years?
  22. I suppose having that sort of money available would make any type of vehicle no matter how rare etc to be within your grasp. There is a lot of fun to be had in the chase aswel and following leads up!
  23. So do you have the home movie in full? I bet thats good viewing.
