  1. That makes sense, the MOD won't want to waste their time and money dealing with something that has no use or relevance now. Report it, make a sensible offer and see where that leads?
  2. Firstly I wonder if it was reported stolen? Secondly after 40 years of being unclaimed who would have the rights to ownership?
  3. I do recall a restored one listed on ebay a little while ago so they are about but still rare.
  4. I like the Matador drawing, when is it dated?
  5. Am ready an interesting book, 'D-Day to Victory', the diaries of a British Tank Commander by Sgt Trevor Greenwood. Still fascinates me the day to day living of a fighting WW2 soldier.
  6. Well done, it looks the part now. Bit too hot to do physical work.
  7. Have you seen one or got one in mind? Its very good to set yourself a plan and follow it. Preparation is often key and something that can fill your time whilst looking.
  8. Any pictures? Sounds like it needs a lot of work but worth saving.
  9. Very nice and good news that it is with you rather than being put in a skip!

  11. Now I wouldn't mind that sat in our garden!!
  12. The next few years are a worrying time for all of us with historic vehicles. Perhaps one day we will only be allowed to show them as 'static' and have to transport them to and from events on a modern form of transport. I dont think this will happen though, there will always be an allowance or maybe a restriction set on how much a vehicles can be used and maybe only on specific days/dates? There are a lot of very prominent people who not only enjoy this hobby but also promote it, they will have quite a say in this debate also. Lets take the time to fill in the form and put all of our backing into moving our hobby forward.
  13. Thats a really useful piece of information. Having it listed out like that is good for reference.
  14. It does look very good, nice to see the progress.
  15. Its another old post but has come up on a Google search for Hillman Tillys, any photos or current condition know of the Tilly in the original post? Kevin.
  16. I know its an old post but it just came up on a Google search for me. Is the Minx in the original post restored now? Kevin

  18. A big tough looking truck and that hiab looks pretty handy too!
  19. Absolutely lovely little car, condition looks great. I have a 1937 Ford 10 7W so the 8 and 10hp Fords are a favourite!
  20. Bet that was a good feeling getting her out on road. I havent driven anything pre 1930's but can imagine this would be quite a thing to drive!
  21. I think that engine looks very good, I think the mix of painted and non painted parts really sets it off.
