  2. Brilliant photos, keep them coming.
  3. I have just looked it up too, lots of very nice vehicles for sale direct and in the auction. The Ferret looks good.
  4. Superb condition, looks very good to get straight on the show scene.
  5. Very little corrosion by the looks of it, hope they free off easily.
  6. I did wonder that but the louvres in the bonnet dont look like others I have seen.
  7. Thats a brilliant find, made me smile seeing it sat against the original! Kevin
  8. Out of interest, I wonder what the truck is to the left? Dodge / Chevrolet maybe? Kevin
  9. Thank you Pete, I find researching stuff like this fascinating, especially when its family or vehicle related!! Kevin.
  10. Thats brilliant Pete, such a huge amount of info from just a few details. I did note the R H Drive on the original but as it is not in white didnt associate it with the hand stencil. Kevin
  11. Here you go, see what you think? This could have been taken at one of two places, some of the photos have 'at the beach - Alexandria' on the back then the another couple say 'Jaffa Beach' which I know is in old Tel Aviv. Note the white hand stencil. Kevin.
  12. I will scan it and post it for you to see. The Photos are taken in Palestine. Kevin
  13. I am looking through some photos of my Grandfather taken in the desert during WW2. One photo shows them in the back of a truck and it clearly shows the markings on the tailgate. One, which I presume may be a formation sign (?) Is a stencil of a camel over the numeral 60. Also of interest is a large stencil of a white hand within a white circle with a line through it, I presume its a 'dont touch' sign. Kevin
  14. Yes, your right. Go to all that cost and development for the Beetle then pull out? At the time Rootes were such a huge company I am surprised they decided to loose out on future contracts and the revenue from it.
  15. I really like the way we all tackle these type of jobs, seeing how others do things is such a good reference .
  16. I love the homemade press, it looks very effective.
  17. I think it looks really good and is starting to take shape. All the hours spent now will be worth it.
  18. Reminds me a lot of the Karrier CK6. Kevin
  19. Curious, what does the Guy 3-5 ton Six Wheeler look like? Kevin
  20. If they didn't check inside when they took it imagine their surprise when they did open up the curtainside and saw the Steam lorry!
  21. That box is a real nice piece of history in itself.
  22. Well I think you should be pretty pleased with yourself, lovely bit of tinwork.
  23. Well that sounds like some positive news.
  24. You just can't under estimate how low people will go to make money. This is appalling behaviour but alas not uncommon these days. Lets just hope it is found soon and still in one piece. Kevin
