Round here there have been many performances of the BMW ballet and Transit baggatelle has been popular. The super mini hillclimb has attracted some debuties, though the best has been a heavy weight bob sleigh, performed by an artic unit. Still snowing as well.

thats because BMW drivers HAVE to overtake everything on the road and are as a result, always at the front... because they are all frustrated racing drivers... clearly we should always get out of their way bow to the wonder of teutonic engineering... until they're in the ditch...

.......Its called the Bo--ng Theory,Pay compo on a crash, its cheaper than research and development.Come to think of it we never did hear why the last one crash landed at heathrow.

This is the aaib Interim report (October 2008, I think). It makes fascinating reading - they certainly try hard to find the problems. If you could have arranged for your broken engine to fall out of the sky they would surely have found the cause of the seizure! (Well done for getting it going again)

This is the first paragraph of the summary:

The investigation has shown that the fuel flow to both engines was restricted; most probably due to ice within the fuel feed system. The ice is likely to have formed from water that occurred naturally in the fuel whilst the aircraft operated for a long period, with low fuel flows, in an unusually cold environment; although, G-YMMM was operated within the certified operational envelope at all times.

O.D. in Snow , Wonderful contrast . While you enjoy a short trip to get somewhere to take photo ......my gosh how the soldiers did it for the entire winter of 1944-45 no heaters , no defrosters , many with no doors or canvas fighting mother nature as well as an armed enemy . Some very Tough Men !

I work in a nursery school on the same site as the 2 cublets schools are, had a message at 7am to say youngest cublets school was closed, got to work at 8 to be told that eldest cublets school was closed, we then made the decision to close the nursey as well. Then the infants and juniors decided to close tomorrow as well due to adverse weather forcast tonight so we are all at home (except r-cubed of course) today and tomorrow. It was about 2 inches this morning and still snowing, we have since had a small thaw but it keeps tipping down with snow/sleet.

Have seen reports of snow on the continent in Belgium, France,Spain and Italy as well as snow moving north west across Great Britian .........quite a event , They said here that this is the worst winter in 18 years in Britian .

And irrefutable evidence of global warming..............

Lets simplify.

More warmth = more evaporation = more rain/snow.

Worst case scenario = Greenlands ice melts, sea gets less salty, gulfstream stops, ice age (minus Mammoths).

Guess we've all seen it on Discovery.
