Hi Guys Sad I had to miss,

Spent yesterday at Neatheravon ( Army parachute association), with a 75 year veteran, who jumped tandem, from 12,000 ft !! He is like a dog with two d**cks :-D we were delayed until 17.00 due to cloud base and I had to stand down, but he was pushed up the line luckily

So by the time I got home.....

Someone please post the pics :-D

Regards Hardyferret

Typical, my Ferret and Lightweight played up all the time we were at the Plain, but were fine all the way there and all the way back! We all had a great time, pity we couldn't stay longer. We've got some great photos, but I'm tired and I think if I leave it any longer before a bath the dust will turn to concrete!

Welcome back you mad loons.

Looks like you had a great time - and top picture of the beer. :-D

Wish I could have made it but not happy with the Ward as yet. Couldn't chance the distance as it has a mind of it's own at the mo. :dunno:

Well, hope to make the next meet.

Hopefully I can hook up with you all at War and Peace.

Well done for the chaps who organised the event as well. Takes some doing to make something like this happen.

Cheers guys.

Looks like you all had fun and I'm sorry I missed it. I particularly liked the shot of the jumping jeep

I know you're all still recovering and it's early days yet, but if there's going to be a repeat performance next year can the date be decided a bit earlier so more of us can come and play :-D

Morning all, Hope you all slept well ? I did. I would have posted the pics here but don't know how to.

The first picture is yogi trying to put the fire out that started Saturday afternoon and went on through the night. Very sorry to the poor jogger in the second pic but it was funny. She must be crapping breeze blocks today.

Hello All,

I have finially come round from the Salisbury trip and I think I've got all the dust out my hair now. It has prompted me to get back posting, so I can thank Tony, Jack and everybody involved in making the weekend happen. And a special thanks to Yogi, for letting Ally use your car to follow us about. (by the way, she says sorry as she thinks she didn't move seat back, I know how annoying that is). but thanks again. As of Saturday, we nearly didn't make it. I had my boy for the day, and did want to take him, but thought it was going to be to rough for him as he is still a bit small. We didn't set of till late. Then when we set off the lights played up on the lorry, but managed to get round that. We were then on the M5 and the lorry just didn't seem to want to go. we pulled up on the hard shoulder, had quick look, and made the decision to carry on even though we had the infamous Crickley Hill to get up. well we went for it and yes the worst did happen, we ran out of gears, we could have walked faster, but the Daf kept going. It would die then we would pick up a bit. But we made it to the top. We had make a choice of heading straight back down and go home and cut our losses, or head up another bank and get to a layby. Don't know why but we still went for it and made to the view point at Birdlip. Fair play at nearly midnight their was an awful amount of activty at this site, dread to think what was going on up there. So didn't hang around, cab went up and I changed the fuel filter, bled it up, and we were gone. And we were off, the Daf was flying, we got to Salisbury about 2am. Parked up in layby down the road from the meeting place and crashed out. 7am soon came round and we made our to the camp for 8. The butties in the pub for brekkie were very welcome, even the dog got a couple of rashers of bacon and a sausage (thanks Roy). Once we were off on the trip, full of apprehension that the 432 was going to break down within the first mile, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable day, the 432 preformed well and it was a fantastic experience. Shame we had to go home, but I think it was gone 11 when we did. But the trip was well worth the effort, and I even managed to see Stonehenge for the first time(mind you I thought it was bigger).

And I've nothing all day today. What a weekend.

Roll on next year!!!

Dougy, Ally and Poppy
