Richard Farrant
Surprised me these are up for sale so Quick Type this in on E Bay MAN/ ERF SX 32.440 8x8 HEAVY RECOVERY UNIT # CHOICE OF 4# I think these are trials ones that were retained by the makers and never owned by MoD. Recollect seeing an advert for them a while ago, can't think where now.
Scoot65
That's quite an impressive bit of kit!!!
JeffHall
Impressive piece of kit that doesn't even have a conventional underlift or rotating recovery boom. I can't help thinking that perhaps it's a little too specialised to have a civilian use - that is without some serious mods.

The crane is a rotator but it is a crane only not a winching platform as well not like most modern recovery equipment. Would like to have the money to buy one to chop about and have a play with. scruffyHerrbert
Check this out another vehicle aimed at military buyers using standard civilian equipment with a few mods. Makes a very versatile piece of recovery gear. Be a long time before i can afford one from the auctions. 5 spades - nice stabilisers look up to the job don't they

ploughman
How many times do you hear on the radio traffic news "No High Siders". Or see it lit up on the overhead gantries. This is what happens when you think it does not apply to me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-25372502
Pzkpfw-e
Panther D, with rigid tow bars. Not something I've seen before.
cosrec
Put this video on not saying its right or wrong. Dont include anything military but i think it shows many things you have to watch out for and to give the guys their due they seem to have covered all the pit falls and they are not using super modern gear

robin craig
This company has very some very slick items of kit including what appears to be a Volvo ex military wrecker. No drama, quiet confidence. R
John Comber
Great video, and some stonking kit, I love the 5 tonner bucket rotator and grab, how nifty, I can see that on any plant mans Christmas wish list. I had deja vue watching this remembering having to recover a JCB 814 in the dark in a slurry lagoon maybe 15 or 16 years ago unfortunately all before in your pocket technology could record all our mistakes!
