Snow all gone this morning :(

Just left with soggy garden again which means I can't put the guinea pig out!

Although am hoping it's not too bad on the main land as I have to drive to Alton this morning for a course!

About 2 inches over night.

Do you want me to post some down to you?

Have you thought about buying it some wellies?

Saw some snow laying around in fields today but roads all clear. The carpark had about an inch deep and I did sort of slip and slide into my parking space. tee hee!!!

Last night we got maybe 0.5" of snow here in Dagenham.. Compared to last week that's not too bad:

Nowhere near as bad as the 7" Lee got a few miles away though!!! :D

Unfortunately when it started to melt it revealed a hole in the tilt

The radio table has become a swimming pool!

I packed some snow into a box for you last night and left in the conservatory so I could post today.

Laithewaites confirmed your address, seems even our local branch has it.:-D

However I think somebody must have stolen it overnight as there is only a soggy box and a puddle leading to the door.

Well I just wish the weather would make it's mind up! The snow has gone but it took ten minutes in the early hours to defrost the outside and inside of the windscreen! Though the last time I remeber a cold very dry winter like this was 1976, followed by one of the hottest summers on record.

  • 4 weeks later...

Here in Cambridgeshire it started raining hard about 10:00. Got petty wet walking the dog at lunchtime, then it turned to snow... HUGE flakes came down for about 2 hours. Its turned back to rain now :-|

  • 5 weeks later...

Heavy rain turned to snow here this evening and blizzard conditions had developed at 9ish when I left the farm. Doesn't bode well as the Met Office are still forecasting it to rain until early morning before turning to snow. With temperatures approaching zero ice could also be a problem by the morning. Just what we need with several hundred lambs between 2 days and 3 weeks old out in the fields and lambing continuing. Just hope it doesn't last too long.

Keep safe and warm mate ! Hope its just a short wintry spell and the lambs all make it through !

Thanks Andy, got to admit I don't miss being out most of the nights with the sheep when they were lambing. it was lovely on the cold, clear moonlit nights but I don't envy my son tonight.
