  4. Never seen any hatch on a Ferret with an anti-slip surface.........
  5. I am working on a Russian 152mm Howitzer for a customer in Australia. It is now in that delightful colour Forrest Green. However he wishes to display it as if it had been captured and used by the German Army on the Russian Front. Apart from a winter/white scheme has anyone got any suggestions ? Thanks....Bob
  6. It had to happen that a Challenger 1 would be restored for all to see, pity about the awful music............
  7. I purchased two of these LMD's at a MoD sale mid 1990's, one of them cost me a fortune........£380.
  8. Good afternoon Mr G, very interesting regarding the Great War tank......times move on and attitudes change, is it now time for this hulk to surface ?
  9. As the restorer I can state that it will NOT be running next week
  10. Joe You must first contact the ATF for a Permit to import an inplement of war, known as a Form 6. For a military vehicle to be exported from the UK a Export Licence needs to be obtained, send me a PM and I will give you more information, I have been sending MV's to the USA for 22 years so I am not new to this........
  11. Rick The Milweb Grant is to go at the side of Neils container, you really must keep up with events..........
  12. Clean it every 3 days ! Three ? Should be at least every day............
  13. I would take no notice of the indicated mileage on a Ferret. An engine, transmission can be changed without the clock or the clock can have been changed during its 50+ year life. All in all it bears no relationship as to the condition of the vehicle.
  14. No I do NOT like Saracens ! I will see waht I can do with the paperwork but it is quite faint
  15. Monty That one is not the same vehicle. I purchased 82BA04 from Karl Budge in the 1990's as a none runner, got it going and respayed it in blue. I t was a nice job when finished but nobody seemed interested in buying it from me, can't remember who had it. Bob
  16. I was having a clearout of paperwork and came across some hand written notes that refered to a Saracen that was used by the Hong Kong Police, 82 BA 04 Vehicle No 7. I will gladly post these to the current owner.
  17. Conquerer probably on Sennelager ranges c.1975. Photographed by Paul Kay, Chieftain driver in 17/21 Lancers
  18. It is well known that the Met Office are very poor at predicting the weather, so why the surprise ?
  19. I also think that they are dragging it out, snippets of information to the media and hype to make a story that is probably done to make a so-called 'documentary'. This is then sold to Sky or whatever and the result CASH in their pockets.
  20. Is it from a Pig that has had paint thrown over the vision blocks by rioters to blind the crew ?
  21. A few questions; Would in fly out from East Kirkby ? Can it fly back ? If not the Panton's have lost their main exhibit.
  22. John Here is another, I will try and find the date but I think it is 89/90 (?)
