  1. Kevin I will give you a phone call on Monday, about 6pm. Any photos of the Centaur delivery ? Bob
  2. A bit out with this shot, I have a blank screen on my camera. The rear wings are not original fitments but they are there because it is required.
  3. In the box at the rear of these cranes were armour peircing rounds, 20pr for the 25pr and 17pr as well. All for ballast.

Also the Hurricane 'converted from a bi-plane' with 'flimsy canvas' , quite inexcusable.............
  5. Here is the front of the CMP, now known as a F60T, thanks for that, but it did have M embossed on the plate. I don't know who restored this but some of the workmanship is quite good, any ideas who ? There were no brakes working but just needed fluid and bleeding, it starts easily and runs fine, I am very pleased with it.

I am half way through it and so far the script read by the narrator, not Lord Ashcroft, is very poor........
  7. Good Grief ! Why did I say Fiona Bruce ! I meant of course Kirsty Young of Desert Island Discs............ Not that Fiona Bruce is not splendid as well..... Profound apologies to all.
  8. That's no lady but the splendid Fiona Bruce, taken awhile ago I think....
  9. Mmmm.... 'circus performance', is that what it is ?
  10. It is a 'tractor unit' and the plate is on the inside of the drivers door. MARCH 4-44 F60445-M At the moment difficult to photograph but by late next week it will be out so I will take some.
  11. Lauren Thank you very much for the information, if you find the spare user manual knocking around then please PM me. I would rather pay you than a book seller. Thanks again......Bob
  12. A chap dressed like this does not 'offend' me as this leads in some parts of the world to death, see current news programes........ However I agree with nearly all the comments posted. I am not religious but " Forgive them Lord they know not what they do"
  13. The red thing is not a Loyd Carrier and never was one..........
  14. I have just aquired a F60M 1944 tractor unit in quite good condition. The door tops do not seem to be original and I am looking for the correct ones or good information as how to reproduce them to the original spec. Also I need a Instruction Book, a reprint is OK but not a CD. Can anyone help ? Thanks Bob
  15. Something that I am interested in, unlike Saracens, thank you........ Would you know from what battleship were the bearings for the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank came from ?
  16. George In your Post 24, lower photo showing guns that have been there a while, note the grass quite high, do you know where is the location ?
  17. They are not too far away, go and sort them out......... Direct action works for me.
  18. The VAT should only be 5% not the dreadful 20%. PM me for a way save money.
  19. While this is being discussed a genuine war veteran HMS Plymouth is waiting to be towed away for scrapping.........
  20. The first ten years are the worst..........
  21. I suppose that I must make a short statement. In the mid 1980's a working party from the now well defunct Tracked Armour Group went to the Tank Museum on three occasions to work on Black Prince. On the second visit with ten minutes to go before closing it fired up. The last visit after some further work I drove it forward about 6 feet, nudged it left and right and then back in reverse. A report was typed out and posted to the Museum for their archives, however it cannot now be found. Make of this what you will........
  22. A while ago there was a a discussion on Radio 4 regarding coypright. The conclusion was that copyright was with the person who operated the shutter.
