Ivor Ramsden
Well done indeed! Of course, if you'd done that in the UK there would have been a petty jobsworth along as soon as you'd got it out to book you for having an uninsured, untaxed vehicle parked at the side of the road. Keep us informed about the restoration.

david052
Blooming well done indeed - just goes to show the power of a bit of planning and a ton of teamwork. Though I'm not sure I would be the one sitting on the winch wire as you heave on the Tirfor to pull it out!

Runflat
Bloody marvellous this achievement. You won my respect by rescuing a K2/Y body from Australia for another project, but this tops it. Well done.

robin craig
Having only just discovered this thread and read it completely I think the one person who has not been congratulated is Richard Farrant who was the one who raised the alarm about this vehicle in the first place. rog8811
There must be many more threads as good as this that predate my arrival here, thanks for resurecting it, that was a great story with a wonderful outcome...... Come on Radek, what does it look like now?
Richard Farrant
Having only just discovered this thread and read it completely I think the one person who has not been congratulated is Richard Farrant who was the one who raised the alarm about this vehicle in the first place. Robin Robin, It was not just down to me, a friend in Paris, Serge, told me about it and said he thought it was a Morris Commercial ambulance. It was surrounded by material in the building and he could not see the front end. This raised my interest, but a few photos from him gave me enough clues that it was an Austin. Knowing Radek was desperate to find a K2, I put him in touch with Serge. Actually last week Serge sent me a link to a short video of Radek driving it around a field, so Katie lives and breathes. regards, Richard
