Richard Farrant
Down in South Kent it has been a beautiful spring day with warm sunshine and gentle breeze, amazing how in such a small country the weather can differ so much.

It amazes me to Richard! Only a few hundred miles away and yet it's as though we are in different seasons! Only in Britain hey?

Carpet buying commences tomorrow. Hope weather is not too bad for everyone else today and over weekend? How's the lambs Degsy?
Degsy
Snow gone from our land now but other side of the valley which is less sheltered the snow is still lying at a much lower altitude. The lambs are ok Rosie, all the smallest ones went out with plastic coats on in anticipation of the bad weather. Thank you for asking. croc
For the first time in years we had next to nothing in the way of snow this winter, we finally got a bit to play in for a couple of days last week. Playing. Looking out of the bedroom window. Jens Jimny wasn't quite up to the drifts, even after the Explorer made a hole.

Degsy
Last night's and today's rain has removed the last of the snow except on the mountains only to reveal the full extent of it's damage to some nearby farmers. We know of three who have lost 100 plus lambs and a number of ewes and there will be many more in a similar situation, it couldn't have come at a worse time for this area. We were very lucky, it could so easily have been us, I really feel for them.

Tony B
Snow, most animals can cope with. Rain most animals can cope. Wind ditto. The rain and wind together are the real killer, and the air temprature dosen't need to be that low to start hypothermia.
