sirhc
Lee, I find HMVFTV to be very slow and jerky when watching videos, I barely get more than a couple of seconds before it stops to load some more. Never have this problem with youtube. Do we need a faster server? Chris

Joris
Hi Chris, You are the first to mention speed-issues, I have never experienced any lag to be honest..
R Cubed
I am sorry to say I too suffer jerky HMVF TV, it loads then runs for a few secs and then stops or goes jerky and so on :dunno: R Cubed
Tony B
I find that as well. Seems to work well on laptop but not on the PC. Is it a media card question, or am I just more stupid than usual?
ArtistsRifles
Odd - runs OK on my old PC and that is very prone to jerky streamed media due to it's age. On the T55 front - if one of those can happily rumble down a motorway then there should be no problems with the OT-90 :-D

ArtistsRifles
I assume the T-55 is road legal in that it has working lights etc. How did the owners fit them???

The lights can be seen here, small side lights on the front and rear and one large headlight in the center ,but we also had 4 cycle lamps to attach to the wings if needed for night driving. http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8274/dsc00193xj7.jpg[/img]

The OT has white lights on all 4 corners and midway down the sides. No headlamps other than IR ones though. And no red lights to the rear. Talking to the guys from Russian Truck at Beltring a way needs to be found of fitting headlamps, indicators, and red lights/stop lights to the rear to be road legal. Fitting the lights is relatively easy. Getting the wiring into the hull, right now, is not!!! When the beastie arrives and a closer look can be had maybe a way will be found. The idea is to have all the UK lighting easily removable.....
Poptopshed
I would have thought the easiest way would be to have a socket made up to which you can plug in a standard trailer board for the rear and similar one for the front. Just run a cable in through the nearest hatch for road use and easy to remove and stow once off the road. When the T55 goes out he normally has a Shorland as an escort front and another car at the rear, to manage junctions and act as lights. That - funnily enough - was the base plan!! :-D :-D Thought of using 12N/12S sockets for front and rear connections. Thought, too, that popping one of the troop hatches would be best if they can be locked partially down in inclement weather - the huull being amphibious means it will start filling whenever it rains otherwise. A suplemental control panel will be required for the driver though as there is no provision for switches/warning lights as req'd so work inside the vehicle will be required. Going to be fun!!! :-D :-D :-D
