David wood
this used to be in my family! However I know nothing about it! How are you getting on with it?
Shaun Ferreday
Does anybody know how many of the q type prime movers are still in existence. I stumbled across one in some brambles yesterday and was pretty intrigued. The cab was shot but there was a spare cab in the brambles with it. This one had been turned in to a fertiliser spreader by the looks of things. I'm considering making further enquiries about it but it it would be a lot to take on. pbharcourt
There is a complete unrestored one in the Winchester museums collection with RAF trailer. It's in their storage facility at Winchester which you can visit if you make an appointment. I did have a load of photos somewhere.

Rootes75
I like the look of the Crossley, I know its not its original condition but the patina looks very good.
pbharcourt
It is in stunning original condition with only a rough post war coat of paint over the original RAF blue. It worked at a builder's yard on the Isle of Wight for about 10 years before being laid up.
Rootes75
Do you know if its planned to be kept in that condition? It does look very good.
pbharcourt
I don't know I'm afraid, and the photos I took were some years ago. I could contact the museum and see if I can visit the storage area again to see how she is now if people are interested.

The tender has the cab but rusted through and the tank is missing and a lot hole of stuff missing if i didn't rescue it they were going to be cut up for scrap so any one have parts manuals or any thing to do with a Crossly Q type ww2 would be very much appreciated. Thanks:):nut:
