alan turner (RIP) Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 the whole image has been reversed and then the 10 union flag and id plate cloned on the correct way. Quote
sirhc Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 or is it the gunners sight wrong & periscopes appear to be missing?? Ok, there are a lot of things wrong with this vehicle, but thats not the one I had in mind... Quote
sirhc Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 the whole image has been reversed and then the 10 union flag and id plate cloned on the correct way. No, all CVRTs are Left Hand Drive. Quote

sirhc Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 OK then has it weed itself? They all do that too, especially if you leave them out in the rain, like mine is today.... Quote
sirhc Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 No driver hatch? Periscope seems to be there The hatch looks ok to me... Quote
Lardrover Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Yep, having a Senior moment. does the turret sit so high on the ring though? Quote
sirhc Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 Yep, having a Senior moment. does the turret sit so high on the ring though? Yes, that's the adaptor ring to mount the Fox turret to the Scorpion hull. The turret rings are slightly different diameters. Quote
CVRTNick Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Is it a Sabre done up as an Op Granby (Gulf war 91) vehicle & none went there? Quote
montie Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Chris, The problem is that it is not mine!! Cheers. Quote
Lewis Garner Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 A complete shot in the dark, the transmission covers are bolted in place? Quote
theredkite Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I'm with CVRTNick and Degsy. The hull might have served in Granby, but the turret wouldn't. A bit like my Scorp, except my turret seems to have been in Granby but the hull hasn't. Quote
sirhc Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Lewis, there's nothing wrong with the bolted deck. Mine is like this and the Scorpions were built this way originally - it's a pain when you want to check the gearbox bay! Nick and Degsy are correct, this vehicle wouldn't have existed in this form in 91, it was only converted in 94/95. But... there's still something else nobody has noticed yet, so keep trying! Quote
Dougy FV432 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Hi All, Heres my two pennies worth, the barrel looks odd, not got the flared muzzle as I would expect on a rarden. And without looking at another vehicle, the smoke discharger looks upside down. Regards Dougy Quote

The Rarden has a smoke discharger cover on the end, and it's hard to tell from the light but I think it looks ok. There's still something nobody has noticed yet, hopefully someone will get it today... Chris Quote
RGJ/H. Alan Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Since i know ho har about these things and every body else who does seems to have asked the questions and still been wrong...... Could it be that what is wrong in the pic is that the cvr(t) seems to have some sort of fluid leaking from the front as can been seen on the floor! Eddie Quote
CVRTNick Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 It’s bound something more diff than the self-recovery ropes are not set-up in the eyelets,at the front? Quote
Stone Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 The mirrors don't look right and some of the turret periscopes seem to be missing... Other than the registration sticker being on wonky I can't see anything else - it's not something silly like the tracks being on backwards, is it? Stone Quote
