I don't think vehicle canvas was ever marked with 'U.S.' property stamps like that. On the US Militaria Forum there was a pic of a crate of original headlight covers being offered for sale in Normandy last month for €50/pair, none were marked in any way.

steviem
Hi guys anyone know where i can get the small removable number plates from, magnetic Thanks.
Jessie The Jeep
You can buy magnetic plastic on Ebay, so you could just paint your own. Not sure of the legality of non-standard plates vintage plates. On my Jeep, I made the front one fold up behind the bumper. On the Dodge, it's held onto the grille and is removable. I don't bother taking the back ones off.

steviem
Hi folks anyone aware of first aid kits fitted to 45 MB,s just got one not so keen about drilling into the dash.
67burwood
From memory there’s no other way of fitting the first aid kit without drilling 2 holes on the underside of the dash.
steviem
Don't mind under it but not the dash itself
steviem
Hi guys hoping to get a newer car car soon, hopefully something that can trailer the MB here and there i was thinking of a Audi A4, what do you pull your's with?
67burwood
I usually drive my GPW but I do have a Land Rover discovery 2 for towing, the biggest problem for me now is the LEZ, luckily I’m about 1/2 a mile outside it but it does mean a bit more route planning 🤨
steviem
Cheers bud, trying to work out towing capacity with a A4, should be OK.

I’m certainly no towing expert but I think a good quality trailer helps with towing. I once borrowed a car trailer and it put me off towing until I had to do it again and hired a Brian James one. Totally different experience!
steviem
Yes id only hire one too, heard good things about those, are they pretty light too.
Chris Hall
Heavy enough to know it’s a good trailer and light enough to not feel like your towing a tank when not loaded.
OzH
Your answers may be here: http://www.towingcapacity.co.uk/ I've just bought a Disco Sport for the same purpose, while looking at cars, I found this site very useful

Citroman
You could use a triangle towbar instead of a trailer?
