Hi Lee & Chris,

Spent time on Fox in 15/19 H and QOY, i'll dig out some pictures and post them when I can. The thing I remember most about Fox is that you have to be 4ft tall to crew them and that they are a bitch to work on.

regards Bazz.

Greetings Barry,

In a short time someone from the moderators politburo will explain the duties all newbies have to endure during their probation period. This usually entails keeping the clubhouse clean or sorting out the garden due to idiots driving armour over the flower beds. I'll leave it to the others to sort you out.

Enjoy

Hi Dave,

Are you sure the Sultan is Ex D Sqn, as D is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and I don't think any Geordie worth his salt would call his veh Belfast. However B Sqn (NIH) is/was based in Northern Ireland and probably have vehs with Irish towns/Cities on them, but I could be wrong.

A moment of doubt there, so I checked the voucher. Yes, it was D Sqn, from 12/88 to 02/94, when it went on the QOY UIN until 06/03, at which point it went to Ashchurch, and sold off soon after. So I guess that in the middle period it went to B Sqn but wasn't recorded as such?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply, The period you have given is when I was in SHQ D Sqn

so I,d have commanded her. I'll have a look at my pictures and old regimental journals and see if i've got any in service pictures.

Welcome Barry and it looks like you are at home already! I am sure you have read the house rules and your duties are basically what the armour guys tell you - they like to throw their weight around, we don't mind that, it keeps them quite!

Best wishes.

Jack.
