Billruston
She looks nice there Andy!, the bloody throttle was seized so it had to be used manually so loading was a pig, but to be fair it went on well nice and slow!

sirhc
Could anyone put a rough age on it? 1965?
andym
1965? Could well be older than that, they started in 1962. Is there a vehicle plate on the bulkhead to the left of the driver's seat? Andy
Billruston
It's missing mate!

andym
It's missing mate! OK then, what about the hull number, on a small plate on the outside to the left of the rear door? It's probably covered with paint. Andy

Ex-boy
Could anyone put a rough age on it? I would go along with 1965. I believe that was when C reg plates were issued, and at some time in the past (perhaps still?) ex-military and old imported vehicles etc were issued with reg Nos. from the vehicle's date of manufacture. Good luck with the project. Steve.
andym
Ah - I didn't see the number plate under the grime. 1965 it is, then! Andy
Billruston
Butt....could the reg on the number plate just mean when it was registered?, some of the old trucks we have do so.
andym
If done correctly it should be the "date of first use", in this case the date it entered military service. If you can find the V5 it probably has the original Army VRN as the vehicle chassis number. Andy
