Adam Elsdon
That looks in pretty good condition for something sat in a field, a fairly straightforward job to get it going, unless the armoured body is hiding a rotting chassis!
vintary
the photos are from october 2006 i email the guy who took them he had a look yesterday 21/1/10 and it was gone, the farmer who has the field said the army took it away within the last 2 years and it was all going to be scraped there was other military stuff in the field aswell and the army took it all away. REME 245
I assume these are not items once owned the dealer Ian McGregor? He imported a lot of the Canadian 20mm AA guns from Portugal (see magazines in picture). I find it hard to believe that the army have not donated to a Museum if they still have it. It did come from Ian who imported tons of kit in the 90's. Rob.........................rnixartillery.

The car originally belonged to the Grange Cavern museum in wales. Military Parade - Emir Abdullah at a celebration in Amman, Jordan, of the 24th anniversary of Arab revolt - circa 1940. This is a Library of Congress image. DesertBlooms88
This looks like the same vehicle as your but without the armour protection around the engine. Armoured car guarding entrance to G.P.O. bldg in Jerusalem, Palestine 1939. Original Library of Congress LARGE MB file can be found via the Flickr link below. RAFMT
These are different cars, used by the Arab Legion and built by a German firm in Jaffa, but nice pictures.
GoranWC51
The picture from the military parade seems to have been reversed. Should look like this: The trucks being LHD and not RHD gave them away. Also the clock.. Goran N
Chris Hall
I think some of those parts must be Falklands war trophies. One of the photos has markings like '..... de Argentina'
woa2
Could someone involved with the restoration get in contact with me please. as I would like to write a bit for the Ford V8 club magazine (it has a Ford V8 engine). Also, could I use the photo that DesertBlooms88 posted here? Please PM me and I will give you an email address. Many thanks. GoranWC51
Davey, The pictures he used both came from the Library of Congress website.: http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/mpc2010006366/PP/ There's a "contact us" in the lower part of the site. Go there and ask permission to use it. Goran N

8_10 Brass Cleaner
just spotted this. This was literally down the road from Ian McGregors place in Hirwaen. Father used to sell him small items for the various restorations. I recall having a ride in a Russian tank once. Seeing various sherman tanks and anti aircraft guns, including german ones on big solid rubber tyred wheels. Also he kept some M5's I think in the yard where we distmantled our steam roller. His youngest son, in the year above me at school used to be dropped off occasionally in a jeep. I had to make do with vintage cars. His older brother had an Opel Manta 400 atnone point
Smithy
Thanks for resurrecting this thread. I can't recall reading it first time around. Does the vehicle still reside in the UK? Can't recall ever having seen it on the show scene.
