    A while ago there was a a discussion on Radio 4 regarding coypright. The conclusion was that copyright was with the person who operated the shutter.

    Tim A good buy at £6, Its not a book that can be read in a short while, I took over 4 months reading it very slowly. There is a lot to take in but I am sure you will come to the conclusion that AB was a genuine asset to the direction of the war. There is lot about dealing with the Americans who would agree to a course of action and then not carry out the agreement. It should be 'required reading' for those who are genuinely interested in the war and not relying on a Sky documentary for their knowledge as seems to be the case nowadays..........

    At last some one who has delved into the brilliant Alanbrooke diaries. I am afraid that I don't know who Stuart was but he was not alone by being relieved of his duties by AB and Churchill. For those on the Forum who have not read these diaries doing so will open your eyes to how Churchill was guided by AB for the good of the war effort. AB had a lot to contend with dealing with the mercurial Churchill, it was a good job that he was in the position of CIGS, I cannot think of any one else who could have handled Churchill............

    'Idle whilst cycling', always made be laugh...... A little dated, but somehow very real. Notice that the Sherman crew when leaving after they are 'hit' are in shirt sleeve order for an easy exit, Its very much worth watching this film..........

    That is is a very impressive short film (the boat was good as well) however spoilt inappropriate music. The boat belongs to another age, so why not choose something that relates to it ?

    Crikey! I would not call the 94 Grenade (Energa) a support weapon, I can't remember the effective range but it was only about 250yards.

    That is a odd question for a military vehicle forum I know that actor Basil Rathbone (Sherlock Holmes) was in The Liverpool Scottish during the Great War.........

    Tim, I have looked in all the Airfields and Airmen by Mike O'Conner and nothing seems to fit, try posting it it on The Great War Forum, there are real experts on that forum...........

    This Brimec c/w HIAB will be delivering a 432 (not the one shown) to Southampton docks on Thursday 5 April. To off-set costs is there anyone who wants a vehicle or whatever taking North ? A slight deviation is OK, it will be coming back to Wigan but if something needs to go further North then it can stay in my yard until further transport arrangements can be made.

    I'am a bit late with this reply but the photo was taken in Querrieu on 29th April 1918, the 'Hun' (terminology at the time) aircraft was a Hanover.
