Just to introduce myself I'm a grandad of 59, and i've collected anything and everything at one time.
I have a passion for the 2nd WW, especially the air war in europe.
In the past i've collected mainly ww2 German edged weapons, medals, badges etc,
But I stopped about 15 years ago due to some bad experiences with fakes,- it got to the point that I felt I could'nt trust anybody anymore so I gave up and sold everything.
Anyway now that there are forums like this one, where if in doubt I can ask wiser and more experienced people for an opinion, I'm going to give it another go.
