  1. Rick I will not be there Sunday as I am going to Tatton Park. Bob
  2. This is Ricks' New Mk1 carrier after sandblasting at BMV, it needs a little plating and welding.
  3. Alex Now where have seen this Loyd before............? Of course ! I do belive that it was mine. It was sold to Ron Truscott and then it went to Holland or Belgium in the early 1990's No oil leak then. Bob
  4. Another photo showing great progress, you would not belive that it has only been at the workshop three weeks......
  5. I thought this was the same one; it must be another close by
  6. Steve No its not the same tank, this one is in direct line of sight from Charlie High. The other is more to the east. Bob
  7. Here is me sitting comfortably on the remains of a Grizzly. How much would this be worth today ?......... Remember this is 25 years ago, I was in my thirties then of course.
  8. Matt I will have a look on the original when I get it back next week from Peter in the photo. Another Ferret Mk1/2 that has been recently purchased by a freind in Herefordshire is 00 EC 89, If you don't have it in your archive then I will get more info. Bob
  9. I have found some more photos taken in the mid 1980's. We all know this is a Ferret, chap on right is Peter Constantinos who has helped me with a lot of my projects over the years
  10. Steady on John ! Photo show some progress with the V8 installed
  11. That 432 was in the way, it obscured the veiw of the public seeing the event......
  12. We are jumping ahead a little in the sequence but this one shows great progress.
  13. They were made as a 'foreigner' by one of the young (at the time) men who was involved with me in the restoration. From memory they were both folded and fabricated.
  14. Yes we did have to make new chassis rails, photo shows a 36 yearold Bob spraying them.
  15. The chassis was really grim, looking back I must have been insane.
  16. I was interested......... I was to put a vehicle in this auction, they knew about it but could not be bothered to let me know that it was to be cancelled. I had to phone up and find out what was happening, that was when I was informed, not best pleased.
  17. Adrian, not much paint here I see..........
  18. The second pic of the Loyd being dragged out. The chap in red is actualy saying the equivelant of "What have you done Bob......" I believe someone on the Furum will have the same expression said to him !
  19. This is the Loyd when it was first seen at The Myrton Motor Musem in East Lothian c.1985. I will post some more of this horror story later.
  20. So we are in a Museum and we take a photograph say of a aeroplane or tank. However photography is not permitted and an attendant or official of the Museum turns up. What is he (or she) to do ? Confiscate your camera ? How; rip it out of your hand ? Ask for your name and address ? Call the Police ? Make you leave; how? They have no powers whatsoever. Being a bolshy sort of chap I would relish this confrontation.
  21. I had a chap called McGregor e-mailing me wanting to buy the item I had for sale. It was my FV432 Mk5..............' You can have fun with these people. One had a Ferret for sale so I asked him if the 'autovac' was in good order as they are very troublesome on the B60's. Of course it was, he had just replaced it at the last service..........idiots
  22. I can help, please e-mail me with more info ukbmv@blueyonder.co.uk
  23. The time for this should be about three weeks. Contact them, they won't (or dare) bite.
