LarryH57
Are any of you tempted to take your MV out in the snow? I may take the Lwt out but only in the snow and not if the roads are full of slush and salt!
fv1609
What snow? None here just a sunny day with a bit of wind.

I think you might find some to play in tomorrow night ! I had a little play but it is surprising how much snow gets on the seat when you hop out to take a photo.

johnwardle
I was jokingly offered a Jackal by the RQMS(T) to get home from work yesterday, wish I had taken him up on the offer, one and a half hours from Warminster to Westbury a total of 5 miles. With a Jackal I could have driven down the verges, added bonus of not having a windscreen to scrape.
LarryH57
That video of the Tank in the snow is interesting, which makes me think tanks in WW2 must of been affected by the same conditions. When you see T-34s charging through the snow, you think a tank can go anywhere!

I think the performance comes down to the surface the tracks are on and the configuration of the track links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnTVbsfixfM I remember reading somewhere that during the winter of 1944/45 6th Guards armoured Bde had real issues with the Churchills they were operating but the captured Panther "Cuckoo" seemed to manage ice covered roads with ease.
