Hello all Submitting this message on behalf of a freind. He has a 15cwt WOT 2 which has recently suffered damage to the rear axle. Some major parts have failed and he's now looking to source replacements or find a source for such parts to be fabricated/machined. He needs a half shaft, Crown wheel and Pinion and a new set of bearings. Please let me know if you have any information or parts that might help. Right now we have a lovely WOT 2 going nowhere until we can make the necessary repairs. Thanks in advance. Rob

WW2 British Lightweight 100 gallon Water bowser trailer
Rob Abbott replied to Rob Abbott's topic in HMVF Classifieds
Thanks both for your responses Yes it was an eBay purchase with the intention of it being a longer term restoration. I went into it knowing that the parts would be difficult to source so anyway of short circuiting things would be a definite consideration - either purchasing a more viable project (The one in France) or purchasing something already restored. If you could both let me have further details that would be really appreciated - We can then take it From there. Thanks again Rob -
All Looking for any leads on parts for the above British trailer. I now have a chassis but the most pressing issue is to find an actual bowser for it. Additionally I'm looking for any/all of the ancillary parts - pumps, filters, taps, brasswork, hoses, etc, etc ....... Any help/advice/leads and parts for sale appreciated as always. Rob

dunlop hand cart wheels and tyres
Rob Abbott replied to craignation's topic in Trailers, plant and equipment
Hi Craignation ! Do you still have the wheels and if so are you in anyway interested in selling them ? Regards Rob -
Hi Does anyone have one of these they'd be willing to part with? Thanks to all Rob

Hi Mark Looks to me to be the WW2 lightweight 80 Watt generator used for charging up Wireless batteries. It was widely used most notably as standard Airborne signals equipment and was fitted in vehicles such as Airborne Radio Jeeps. Hope that points you in the right direction for any further research. Regards Rob

Thanks Alex Yes agreed. Kids bike/scooter most likely option. Have tried a couple down that route already but still looking. As you say it's therein size that's the killer. I may end up having to fit some different wheels but don't want to unless abso!hugely necessary. In any event I appreciate the assistance. All the best Rob

All I'm in the process of restoring a WS 22 Handcart and the challenge now is Tyres. As with everything British wartime dated, the tyres are a strange size. I have one very battered non usable original which is marked Dunlop carrier - 14x2.5 inches - to fit an 11 inch rim. If anyone has anything or knows of a source please let me know. Many thanks Rob P.S. - As my wife has already told me on numerous occasions, I should have collected stamps or coins, it would have been so much easier.........

Many thanks Eddie Rob

Hi everyone. Looking for the 6 round type 6 Pounder AT gun ammo box - C264 or C286 Before anyone says there's more chance of finding a stash of Unicorn Horns - believe me I know !! However, in the true spirit of the collector, I'm many, many years in and still looking - albeit with desperate hope rather than any realistic expectation. 😀 If by some miracle someone out there has one or knows of one (and doesn't want it) please let me know. Obviously very happy to pay or consider a swap, or even throw in my first born (this is what this damn hobby does to you) just so long as I can get one before I'm too old to remember why the hell it was I wanted it. Thanks for listening ! Rob
