Ron
If your frame number is WM20 95847. Then I calculate it to be the 14030th machine from 15000 built under contract S1048 which was completed in Nov 43 with a tank serial number of C5129247. As yours is near the end of the batch, I would guess it was built Oct-Nov 43. Ron
kew
Hi Ron thanks for info just what I need I have the British army number on a plate in the tool box are you able to provide any further information itch this number thanks again
Ron
Yes that post war number is in the 'key cards' and was in Aden in 1964, but it doesn't relate to your frame number, unless of course there was a mix up. Lex Schmidt has the key cards and will send you a copy for 5 euros (I think). Search this site or PM me for his email address. Ron
welbike
Only just saw this, but have been in contact with Derek, C number is same as on Key Card, but the postwar military reg. No. was 27YD84. Info from the key Cards is free, a scan of the whole side of the card (15 bikes on there, and nice to frame) is 20 pounds, not 5 Ron!! (and still a lot cheaper then a search at the RLC museum, who don't have this info anyway) Here a sample Key card; Cheers, Lex
