AndyFowler
My little boy Fred says thats a really nasty video and we are not going to watch it all the way through , cos Daddy is too upset ! Poor old Millie !
RecyMech
Re the Militant;- Whilst in very bad taste & most upsetting (especially being as I'm trying to find one to photograph & measure up), you have to hand it to the grab operator for both enjoying his work, & being quite deft on the controls. Personally I think the Millie put up a brave fight. She'll be 40 or 50 Nissans by now. H

Lanceng156
Sad end to a mighty B52! Being an ex-RAF Airframe + Propulsion Technician and witnessing first had the destruction of our aircraft (C130K's at RAF Lyneham) I know what it's like lol! Though couple of packs of Custard Creams to the civie contractors secured a few bits for my collection! Lol! Cheers Danny
berna2vm
I would like to pick the operator of the grab up......with the grab, I don't really want to sat any more but it makes you realise what the reality of not saving these old vehicles is. Doing this to any AEC product is sacrilege/
.303fan
It's busyness ... Nobody wants it, it gets scrapped. I cut up plenty of range rovers, land rovers including military ones. A shame? With some it was, others it was time. That Millie could have been worth saving , or at least dismantled a bit nicer to safe parts. How many get destroyed without any notice on this forum?? ferrettkitt
I have broken up a Champ in the last five years and I had one that was only fit for spares as it had a bent chassis rail that probably ended up being broken up as scrap as well
fesm_ndt
The Millie was what started this thread as I was following an Indian thread on old French vehicles. Does anyone know anything about that one as like said looked fairly intact?
berna2vm
She looked pretty good to me.
