Jim Clark
Just collected two more toys for the collection. The truck is a 1944 Mack NO7 prime mover, the trailer is commonly known as a Rogers trailer but could one of 5 manufacturers. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q151/CatD4/ROGERSTRAILER022.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q151/CatD4/ROGERSTRAILER034.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q151/CatD4/ROGERSTRAILER042.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q151/CatD4/ROGERSTRAILER058.jpg[/img] http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q151/CatD4/ROGERSTRAILER062.jpg[/img] I know the cab on the truck is wrong and the rear canvas is also wrong but this will be done asap. This rig should look good with the Sherman on it, hopefully soon. Jim.

Jim Clark
No not a museum an army, the Mack came from London and the Rogers from Witney. no I didn't buy the diamond it is for sale but rough. the Mack drives beautifully but needs the cab sorting and the rear tarp apart from that its cosmetic work to make it tidy for this season. This winter I will remove the cab and sort it properly also fit a Cummins 290 diesel as the present engine is some what under powered and thirsty.Jack if you can afford the fuel money I will give you a ride on the Sherman. Degsy
Makes my mouth water Jim, especially after you've dropped the 290 in, I'd love to drive that rig. : 8-)
Jack
I know the cab on the truck is wrong and the rear canvas is also wrong Where will you go to get the canvas sorted Jim??
Jim Clark
um not sure Jack, can you recomend a reputible company supplying top quality canvas products. any leads would be most appriciated. Jim
Grasshopper
WOW! That rig is going to be awesome when its all done. Its very rare to see a truck and trailer with the correct load (ie tank) displayed at shows, although I'm sure its much more fun to have the sherman on the ground so you can play with it. Bodge Deep
a gallon might be enough to get the carb wet :-D
zoomer
Jim, Cant wait to see your combo on the road/running round an arena! I recall seeing a Stuart behind a Diamond T a few years back somewhere, but it looked a bit lost on the trailer - a Sherman should look the biz! I remain in awe of what some of you guys can bring back from the brink. Should write a book on it...
BobFox
Jim Very nice rig - Saw a nice Sherman similer to yours at a dealers in Kent recently - I think its going to the states though, along with a Daimler Armoured Car and an Abbott - A bit more history being lost - Shame !!. Cheers. Bob.
Great War truck
I thought that due to new US Governement regulations that you were no longer allowed to export tracked armour back to the USA. Tim (too)
BobFox
Tim Thats what I thought - But thats what i was told by the man in charge - they were just about to cut the breech on the Daimler. Maybe someone on here can let us know the situation/rules etc on exporting armour to the USA. Bob.
Adrian Barrell
Regarding importing into the US, you have to have a Form 6. These can be applied for before you actually have a vehicle in mind but they are specific to type, i.e. Sherman. The main restriction applies to US built armour for which it is almost impossible to get a Form 6 for now. The Daimler and Abbott would be no problem. The Sherman in question has had a Form 6 for some years now, it's only the shipping that has been delayed. Adrian
BobFox
Adrian Thanks for the Info - As they say, You learn something new every day. Bob.
Great War truck
Yes, that explains that. Still a bit of a mad regulation, but there you go, thats Government for you Thanks Tim (too)
