clairereidval Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Hi Im Claire and have joined the forum mainly as am interested in all the other members photos of vehicles and events they like to visit. We recently purchased a Swiss body 43 GMC, which has had some interesting modifications to make it look like a Mercedes. As our other Jimmy is off the road under restoration we have left this as it is and painted it dark grey for the time being. First trip out was to the black country museum 40's event - one coat of paint still drying on the way there. The guy we bought it off got it from Solway avaiation museum - Im trying to trace its histry at the moment. After my boyfriend was up all night (trying to hammer softly) to try and replace the thrush washer in the diff, which had collapsed. I will get some photos later on to see it in its new grey coat.
