  1. Hi looking for some help. I have been told that german captured vehicles had some kind of yellow flag/star marking painted on them? Reason for asking is we have a wannabee Mercedes/GMC which we have just painted dark grey. we want to take it to shows but as most of the displays we tend to camp with are US we want to still include the vehicle but mark it as captured. Wondered if anyone knew how to mark it. Im told that they didnt just paint the star on it. Thanks;)
  2. I may be stupid but.......... I want to view threads on specific GMC 353/ workshop issues. I cant seem to specify....... I know that they are in there somewhere
  3. Hi just hopefully going on second outing. After my boyfriend was up all night (trying to hammer softly) to try and replace the thrush washer in the diff, which had collapsed. I will get some photos later on to see it in its new grey coat. Allthough be it a bit patchy and fly ridden after taking it out in a rush with still wet paint.
  4. Have tried the Idianna films, There is a GMC/Mercedes in there but now with the workshop body on. Someone has said it was for a Bond Film - but I am sure they have made about 700 of them............
  5. Hi Just wodering if you had any joy with the storage, we are also looking for a place to store two Jimmys, we are also in Tamworth. Thats a realy cutey you have there Claire
  6. Hi Im Claire and have joined the forum mainly as am interested in all the other members photos of vehicles and events they like to visit. We recently purchased a Swiss body 43 GMC, which has had some interesting modifications to make it look like a Mercedes. As our other Jimmy is off the road under restoration we have left this as it is and painted it dark grey for the time being. First trip out was to the black country museum 40's event - one coat of paint still drying on the way there. The guy we bought it off got it from Solway avaiation museum - Im trying to trace its histry at the moment. Look forward to any comments
