Some 80 years before the channel tunnel was finally completed these two brothers thought they a solution with a underwater train , sadly the depths were greater than expected and this is the only photo taken shortly before Andre plunged into the English channel , luckily he survived and later was credited with creating a successful line of amphibious automobiles.
  4. I m guessing the original rad piping was so corroded due to the Vehicle being run with either just water in the system or very old antifreeze ? . Your making progress !

  6. A good USA publication is Military Vehicles magazine with listings of many MV rallies and swap meets also lots of MV's and parts .   8. It is quite a Bird , had a chance to see one up close and walk through it when one visited in Connecticut at an airshow there many years ago now . As rugged as it seems the deck plates are very thin and tend to get bent easily from what I saw.

  13. Also known over here as cannon cockers. I recall reading of artillery units being used in No Africa ? and other areas in ground defence , that they depressed the guns to fire horizontally and wrote of firing over open sights , basically aiming down the gun barrel I take it .

  17. I believe on the U.S Army Claymoore mine there is a label for its proper placement the dangerous side of course says "this side towards enemy"
  18. Basically at some point someone sued the manufacture of those products for doing something stupid and as a result of those lawsuites those warning had be included with the product at the insistence of the legal departments.

  20. Now that's a tight fit on that transmission , no wasted space surrounding that ! One would think that you would have a bit of heat transfer to keep you warm in the winter , I realise from what has been said that does not happen .
  21. I wonder if the re-enactors would like to give that a try now in the winter especially with the very heavy deep snows that area has received this year .
