  2. This clip was linked on another forum I am a member on and felt that it should be posted here right away . Its a safety video produced by Bridgestone tire about the hazards of welding or applying heat to a tire rim combination , It is shocking how dangerous this is . If for example your were to try and loosed rusted lugnuts with a gas torch even that can lead to explosive tire failure . Something went wrong...
  3. In the book "The GMC 6x6 and DUKW A Universal Truck " by Jean Boniface and Jean Jeudy on page 114 there is a photo of a control tower vehicle " a engineering body houses a transmitter-receiver, a telescopic antenna mast, an operating table, and a control dome" on a closed cab 353 cargo

Interesting that they have remained intact for so long , I m guessing that originally they might have been intended to block the road back in the early days of WWII and were never used or are they where they have always been ? Would they be protected historical items or something that could be bought and moved ? Yes I realize they weigh a ton or more each , just thinking of that museum/historical military camp .

  10. Perhaps the third time will be the charm. Its come a longways back from what they melted out of the ice ! Not sure just how much of it is original after the rebuild . I think the original owner died just as it was under going its first flight tests ?

Welcome Lawrie to the Forum ,Lest those things like the comfy seat or heat weaken your body We have installed an outside extention ladder for your exercise to reach your third floor room in the clubhouse , your use of the stairs is not allowed unless you can climb the ladder in under 2 minutes while carrying a old series3 transmission.:cool2:
