  5. A Friendly welcome from the friendlist Forum on the WEB . a Great looking HMV and a fine family . Seems that the Club house is going to need to build a play area for the younger ones to keep them out of the club house car park and all the really big things moving about there . Of course the play area would not be complete without scale vehicles just like mum and dads to drive and maintaince .

I had forgotten I had a site someone had posted about saved on my coumpter that has some of this data , I did'nt think of it until now , sorry :red: this site has information on American Vehicles weights and demensionial data and anything else to do with amphibious operations .   9. Werent some vehicles shipped in two packs ? And as mentioned above that bodies etc. were un-bolted and broken down and parts mingled so there would be differences of marked weights and volumes? compared to a single vehicles stats.

  14. That is some pump , it would appear to be able to circulate enough water to cool a huge engine seems to be a bit over sized , still you are going by the original specs and it is what it is .

  17. A great artical 4X4 ! thats a staggering weight for the wheels 450 LBS each ! all being moved with a 60hp engine plus cargo at up to 16 mph, did they have only rear brakes or did they have a drive shaft based brake ? I d guess the equivalent wheel in say WWII would have been ? 150-200lbs?

  19. great info Antarmike ,I wanted to say that while they were the first to come up with the idea, its not the only time something like thats been done , I have seen several clips on youtube of recently posted use of a jet engine mounted on railroad equipment currently being used to blow ice and snow from track switch gear , Although very noisy and not something to do any distance of clearing it is very effective . True it lacks the dash of a fighter cockpit attached to it. Something went wrong...

In respond to my posting this link on the Dodge .com site Robbo posted this link to another youtube video also on tire and rim safety . although it is dealing with modern artic truck wheel system's it does show at the end of the clip the effects of the same welding on mounted tire wheel assembles complete with manikins Something went wrong...

  23. A different look about them when they are out in the field rather than being photographed at a paved airbase.
  24. Its good to know that a few of the different vehicles from that time and place have been saved for the future at least they will never rust away . They are more complete than many of the relics that have been posted from that region .
  25. A very nice find indeed on the NOS instrument panel. Nice thats its going to finially be used as it was intended when it was packaged all those years ago ! Makes a nice display piece all by its self :-D
