  1. Don't be sad folks. The vehicle might be gone but this thread has brought the memories back. For me it was my Honda CB 250 Superdream. Loads of happy miles and memories but £200 was a lot of money to me then when I needed it. Wish I had kept the 432 and got more film of it driving but it was probably a good decision to let it go. Cant see me selling the Ferret any time soon.
  2. Expect to be used as a guide when we do a group tour over there. Welcome mate
  3. Got my ppl many years ago but lapsed now due to cost. Though fortunate enough to include Spitfire and Strikemaster. The flying is the easy bit, its the procedures and emergency actions when something is out of the ordinary that are the difficult bits. I couldn't fly regularly enough to keep them second nature, that's why I gave up.
  4. Mine was caused by fluid leaking past the piston to the back of the master cylinder so have a good look at it. I thought it was ok as pressure was good. Needed a refurb and a new switch
  5. Oooh that does seem to be a lot of agro for little gain. Especially the bit where he says it sometimes fills with sludge so might not give a proper reading
  6. Having just rebuilt the carb and fuel pump - it makes an amazing difference and starts on the button.
  7. Saturday went for a long spin in the Ferret to blow away the cobwebs and give the nrew gearbox a good workout. It was great.
  8. So we will see you down at Folkestone with it then........................
  9. If they had not tried to charge W&P for damage that did not happen, things might be different.
  10. Most replies are from Mk1 owners .......... Mk 2 owners are all out driving them!
  11. I think they were sent over to Burma...............
  12. Vince, That is brilliant and one heck of a jigsaw puzzle. I have just got mine done inside and I know how much work is there. Good luck mate it will be worth it for the fun factor and prices are rising again. David
  13. Wow Andy, that beats me. I did well over 1000 miles in the first 2 years. But it has dropped off a bit since.
  14. As long as you can be contacted through the address given, then you do not have to live there. Parents address etc is fine.
  15. Any of the vehicle recovery agents will have a large supply but loads of chavs are trying to get hold of it now. Go in and explain you want it for a military vehicle and they are usually more helpful. Ask to deal with the manager - it worked for me.
  16. Who looks after the Boyes collection on here? There was a post a while back about getting a new 432 in the collection. Can you drop me a pm please there is a paperwork matter to clear up. Many thanks Dave
  17. Where in Kent? A couple of us are in Maidstone with Ferrets
  18. Fine to take a youngster along but I was disappointed with the lack of storyline
  19. Ray, the thing with mates like that is they do not need repaying. Just being there in a group and part of it is payment enough. Anyone who has mates like that will never be poor.
  20. This is the new submarine service. http://www.youtube.com/embed/Cd6C1vIyQ3w

Is there anyone in the Southeast who has got a Supercat that my wife and I could come and try. I am keen to get one but she would like to see one and have a go first. Many thanks Dave
  22. WELL DONE. How much space was there on top when you reversed it in?
