  1. Bloomin' eck Chris, good luck with that one. It looks like a really technical job. With mine I just put in another gearbox rather than a rebuild. Dave
  2. "Our direction is a simple quick coupling and a vented jerry can mounted on the rear left fender." Just be aware that this would not be legal on the road in the UK.
  3. Andrew Baker definitely has some for sale
  4. Sliders to closed for max noise reduction
  5. Jim, Welcome to the joys of Ferreting. I use an old pair of army ear defenders when driving solo, but pop off the plastic covers and put in an extra layer of foam cut from anything and this works a treat. If using intercom head sets with a commander, then the bigger the better rather than old style thin ones and make sure they are seated well on the ears. Also, get yourself a wing mirror on a handle to poke out of the side hatch so you can see when pulling out of junctions. Cheers Dave
  6. I couldn't see what the vehicle was as it was on its side and on the other side of the barrier. Best wishes to all involved
  7. Today on the M20, Londonbound there was a Champ or jeep towing a trailer and they were both on their side overturned and across 2 lanes of the motorway just prior to junction 8 at Maidstone. Obviously someone on their way home from W&P. I hope whoever it was that everyone is ok.
  8. I will be going just to see how it is and leave was already booked. I don't bother with the arena any more, either to watch or take part, just my mates and the stalls for me.
  9. Well I got that one wrong....................... Sorry, never seen one
  10. They were common at W&P last year and I think about £250
  11. Depends on which police force you are in but I have the copy of a letter which states they are not considered to be mortars and therefore do not require the mortar deac standards of slotting and a pin across the bore.
  12. Very nice, O have never seen one. Are they about and what sort of price do they fetch?
  13. I tried many many times to contact Russian Military but they never even bothered to reply by phone or email. Don't bother.
  14. Great link cheers. Also loads of other weapons done in the same style
  15. I will be supporting Headcorn as usual, as I want that show to continue and flourish. I may well jump in a vehicle and go to Beltring for a couple of hours over the weekend to see what is going on and then make an informed decision next year. Although I would hope that they do not clash next year if at all possible. Any one who is willing to organise any military show has got to be applauded for their hard work and financial outlay.
  16. Very nice. Much better than a solid lump of welded metal.
  17. Very interesting. Talk about some amazing prices for stuff. I was thinking about the logistics of moving some of it.......
  18. Mine has got one, my brothers has not. Take your pick. Personally I find it helps when routinely opening up and getting in or closing up again.
  19. Maybe I will give Beltring a go after I have read reports from this year but Headcorn for me as usual. Any indication on entry prices for Beltring?
  20. Nice one. A lot of blood sweat and tears have gone into that. Dave
  21. When you complete the online booking, is there an acknowledgement? Mine just returned to the beginning so, I have no idea if I have booked once, twice or not at all. I still think the 'You cannot leave' mantra is going to cause problems.
  22. Its a wonderful feeling when a problem is sorted - especially when it does not cost an arm and a leg. I know both feelings from recent experience. Well done.
