  1. I think this is replica of an Albatross DV built this century not the last one. Not good news at all.
  2. Radio 4 is very informative and a few years ago there was a programme about copywrite. The knowledgeable person said that copywrite remained with the camera operator who activated the shutter and this would last for 70 (?) years. I have taken many photographs on MoD property and I am not concerned whatsoever about publishing on line or in print
  3. This is the only other one I have showing a stabilizer (?).
  4. A person cannot know everything about everything so the question here is what is this small trailer. Could it be a Brockhouse bomb trolley ?
  5. This is the thing that would be towed behind Bedford RL, MK or MJ, original, if careworn condition. Located at Tarlton near Southport, Lancashire. I can e-mail more pics if required. Not mine, but can be purchased for a few hundred quid.
  6. He is the chap second from the left. I dealt with him in the 1980's and 90's, it was a pleasure...
  7. An Export Licence is required for military equipment to leave the UK. In that application an End User Undertaking has to be provided by the exporter. if you want me to go into detail then PM me and I will help.
  8. Well what do we all think of the latest issue....... Front cover 'The First Tank Battles', really this about tanks supporting an infantry operation not battle between tanks which is what the words suggest. Page 8 'Military Historian Dies' a obituary for Lt Col (Rtd) George Forty, seems it has been lifted with a few words different from the Times. It has a photo of six men in Russian uniforms, I know which one his him but the obit borders on disrespectful. Also did he command an Armoured Division in Aden, surly a smaller unit? Page 29 A Centurion ARV is captioned Chieftain AVR. Pages 40 & 41 The word 'posing' is used three times, poor writing. Now I have not read every word, can we add to the above?
  9. Excellent find, do we know where the location of the factory gate and street is ?
  10. If you saw the thickness of a Ferret Runflat tyre you would not be concerned with this minor cracking.
  11. Whatever the exact measurement may be I would not be too concerned. I have had quite a few ex British Army vehicle through my hands and have seen many variations. Some would be painted on by teenage crew members and they really would not be that bothered. The ones on your pics look fine.....
  12. A wonderful restoration, takes me back thirty years when I did this stuff. The thing to do, as you are doing of course, is just keep completing jobs and when there are no more to do then it is completed. Well done keep at it !
  13. See the second comment by Lie Detector
  14. A friend has this Ford diesel Tractor/Tug for sale. It was made by FMW, Verwood, Dorset in 1980 and has 1840 hours on the clock, according to the plate it will pull 12 tons. I have other pics taken recently and it is open to offers via me, I will not be making anything on it just helping a friend.

  16. I don't know what the official description is for this part but I don't need it...........
  17. Thank you. So I take it that ALL the de-activated weapons now for sale by dealers and few private human beings have been de-activated to EU spec ?
