  1. We seem to know what is going on. However think of the 13 year old that gleefully received as a Christmas present some 5/6 years ago a de-ac Russian rifle and has time has gone on is no longer interested. If after March 2016 he passes it on to his cousin oblivious of this EU law then an offence has been commited, Both of then will in a precarious position having no knowledge (like we do) of breaking the law, after all they have a de-ac Cert....The first part of the above is true. It is unpolicable and unenforcable.
  2. I am not going to comply with this EU nonsense.......
  3. A10 at Pirbright early 1990's. The hull may have gone to AF Budge at Gamston but what was its eventual fate ?

  6. In the late 1930's on British vehicles, at least, there was a type of composite cladding or vehicle wall that was in sandwich form. Thin galvanised sheet then plywood and again galvanised sheet. What was its name ? I am sure someone will know so thanks in advance.
  7. The engine is in but requires rebuilding, there are four new springs, body came from France and he has a genuine 1918 NOS canvas cover.
  8. This is Colin's (Tailgunner) Nash Quad on its way to his house. It will be for sale later as a well advanced project. The person standing is an uninterested bystander.
  9. Just a note about the Blue Diamond website concerning the Monti Carlo Rally which mentions the Hon Victor Bruce as a participant. This was in fact The Hon Mrs Victor Bruce an intrepid lady aviator and driver.
  10. I had a sheath knife on my belt when I was 8 but that was a different world, now long gone.
  11. Could someone tell me the diameter of a Hillman Tilly road wheel ? Thanks........Bob
  12. First impression it is one, rusty, obscure location but no if there is yellow metal involved....
  13. Just after 5pm today on the PM news programme there was this regarding the dropping of poppy leaves. It said the aircraft was a Second World War biplane bomber. a MK1 the actual words were Em Kay One. This shows a lamentable standard of newscript and presentation. Through our BBC Licence fee we pay for this, it is just not good enough.... As we all know, or should know, they were referring to a Swordfish Mk1
  14. I don't think it helps. I remember a MVT code of conduct stating that in an armoured vehicle passengers should occupy the crew seats, err not done in this instance.....
  15. A person says "Carefull what you say" Now why would they utter those words ?
  16. In c.1967 knew of one of these in Rac's yard, in fact JW Ratcliffe ltd, Low Bank Road, Ashton in Makerfield, It was painted red chassis and green upperworks and in quite good order, don't know where it went but has stuck in my mind.
  17. I have this nice small can which contained oil. Any ideas what it was for, there are no markings thereon. Another piece of dictionary for breakfast.......
  18. This rascal came from a Mk1 432 but can of course be used for the usual MV's that we know and love or not, if that it is the case....... £40.
  19. It sure was a interesting film complete with rousing music
  20. So, you have given me another job; find the photos! Which I will of course, maybe a day or so.
  21. I believe it is for the daily event that those of us who are in good health carry out every day.
