Yes i did notice that, however i reckon 10 seconds work with a pair of snips should sort that out! other than that i haven't seen wipers "Pig sized" for sale anywhere, and i should imagine "New old stock" rubber could be pretty brittle by now! or certainly not destined for longevity.

I lost my temper a bit and took a run up hit mud run at 35mph ish and came to a dead stop on hitting the end. lost part of my rear lower flap and later on bust me gearbox so all in all an expensive weekend...

I would never go into that mud with my pig  To much work for a funny moment only(most for the public I guess).

Did you got a lot of mud inside? And how long you needed for clean it again?

Ahhh Weston Park remember that show. I remember watching a pig attempt the mud run in 98. That mud run was really good to watch.

That were the second year so could have been me or my mate. Yes i hadnt learnt from the first year lol. dont suppose you have any pics?

In answer to Rolands questions it took hours of pressure washing and theres still some weston park mud under there. It sets like concrete when its dry and takes a lot of wetting to get it to shift.

But 10 years ago Pigs werent wanted and there didnt seen to be a following no way i would treat the old girl like that any more. but at the time it was great fun and they're just like a big mechano set anyway

she was in abit of a state engine seized some t**t had left a spark plug out for some 20 years, then later someone had tried to free it by towing her and ripped rear drive shafts (well done)

How is she going now ? I notice you list the Pig as driving looks like a nice fit in there but a bit tricky getting the prop connected I guess ! How is the pick up often wondered what they are like to drive as they still seem to pull with the tonnes of armour mine has added ! Bet shes a little hotrod in comparrison ! :-D

i gave both propshafts to a specialist here in cov with length required it came back balanced and fitted perfect

these pics were taken last year and she is on the road and it is amazing how well it pulls unlike the b60 when you pull of you almost need to change gear straight away so you are in top gear within 20ft but this pulls all the way down the road before you need to change

the engine is 6ltr cummins and a 5spd spicer geerbox out of a f reg leyland roadrunner daf 45

: looks good what a sensible route to take,i am a great believer in keeping these vehicles going so if diesel meens it gets out and about but petrol keeps at home so be it.

the only major headache was having to take the fan of the bottom pully as it was to long to get radiator in and having to fit a slimline electric fan

and also fitting an hydrolic clutch and also exhaust manifold was facing downwards so had to cut the elbow of and weld it so it came out straight

what a graet job, could i ask if you had to adjust engine mounts??,

,and as you know gents my axal had it. still go,s hopefully want to TRY and up rate it some how, any ideas>>>

Dont uprate the axle, i cant even think how you would go about that with the set-up a pig has, however you could make your vehicle lighter, removing the internal armour plate from the rear would probably shift a ton straight away, i did hear that somebody put the Aluminium Ferret wheels on a Pig, which is another decrease, and remove any surplus to requirement kit off of the vehicle should bring the weight down a bit, thus saving your drive train and engine from slogging away.
