  6. rolled her outside tonight and steam cleaned engine bay i did notice that at some time someone had gone to a lot of trouble to paint this truck in company colours the chissis and running gear is orange they had taken the body of and painted it blue inside and out and underneath they had even taken all the wiring out cos there is no paint on it even under the dash, they had also taken engine out to paint it cos there is paint where you could not get if the engine was in

  13. well now the engine is in and it runs time to get her out and give her a wash these pics show how she was when i bought her i have done nothing yet to the outside and no there are not any wings i am going to make these from scratch
  14. i had to make new engine mounts on the chassis to use the original mounts on engine, if you look on first pic you can see them on front crossmember
  15. the only major headache was having to take the fan of the bottom pully as it was to long to get radiator in and having to fit a slimline electric fan and also fitting an hydrolic clutch and also exhaust manifold was facing downwards so had to cut the elbow of and weld it so it came out straight
  16. the engine is 6ltr cummins and a 5spd spicer geerbox out of a f reg leyland roadrunner daf 45
  17. i gave both propshafts to a specialist here in cov with length required it came back balanced and fitted perfect these pics were taken last year and she is on the road and it is amazing how well it pulls unlike the b60 when you pull of you almost need to change gear straight away so you are in top gear within 20ft but this pulls all the way down the road before you need to change
  18. well to be honest i also have humber 1 ton and i know how thirsty she is i could have bought i brand new b60 in a crate but i ended buying a leyland roadrunner of ebay no tax or mot 350 quid drove her back home 150 miles and i thought i would give it a go?
  19. right this next one may upset a few of you,
  20. here,s my pig and like an idiot i didnt take any pics when i first got it (was to excited at finally getting one) it was only when i started to work on her that i took pics she was in abit of a state engine seized some t**t had left a spark plug out for some 20 years, then later someone had tried to free it by towing her and ripped rear drive shafts (well done)
