says "where they used crowbars and sledgehammers to open the 6ft tall safe"

seems targeted, as opputunist wouldn't be carrying around crowbars and sledge hammers. It would be interesting to know if the safe is visible to the public or behind closed doors.

definitely the world is far less civilised than 100 years ago

Note by the way that it was a fire safe, which does exactly what it says on the tin - they're not designed for security. A second-hand Chubb EDR or similar from eBay would just have sat there and laughed at them.

  • 3 weeks later...

We were burgled by a "collector" thief, he still attends shows and rallies where he has also been convicted for thieving De-acs and kit.

Surely it's time this thief should be taken aside and shown the error of his ways;)

punishment of criminals does not work, it has been shown time and time again to fail...we need to use other methods to stop this sort of thing...a rope with 13 hoops placed around the neck with a short jump is the best choice for most career criminals...not much else works......

They should be given useful work in the community - such as clearing land mines on the Falklands.
