ajmac
Make the effort, get a babysitter, call in a favour.....see Skyfall; it is he best bond film that I have seen. A good evening finished off with a drink over looking the water on the Brayford Pool in Lincoln. Edited November 10, 2012 by ajmac
snowtracdave
Doubtless I will get jumped on for daring to say it - and I've spoken to a number of people who have raved about Skyfall - but , when we went to see it a couple of weeks ago the word which sprang to mind as we walked out of the cinema was - disappointing . And I say that as a lifelong Bond fan , seen and got all of the films (excepting the original Casino Royale of course) and read all of the novels and I believe that Daniel Craig is one of ,if not the best , Bond yet . Maybe when I can sit and watch the dvd at leisure I'll revise my opinion but I'm not holding my breath .
andym
In my humble opinion it's good (certainly better than the last attempt!) but not brilliant. Thirty minutes trimmed from the middle would have helped things. Definitely worth watching though. Andy

Lewis Garner
Good film, I'm not a great fan of Daniel Craig, I think the older Bonds have a character we can never get back sadly.

Quite a lengthy one as well.

Kind regards to all, Vulture As others have said, I think you'll be fine. Can't really remember anything which would upset you as a parent or your 10-year-old son. N.O.S.
I went last Friday. Good film. It must be difficult to make each film better than the last, but making them a bit different keeps the marque fresh. Does anyone else think that popcorn should be banned from cinemas - from both noise and 'aroma' aspects?

tyler
Best Bond: yes, best Bond film: up there with the best of them. He might not have the same character as the older Bonds, but without doubt he by far and away the the most realistic and detailed/complete of them all which provides its own character. Really Skyfall has to be seen as its ment to be, which is as a following on of Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace, which is not what the other Bond films did before. I went to the Premier and came out thinking it was the worse Bond ever. 007 should be humourous, full of gadgets, fast cars, sexist, stunts, naf, cheesy but also slick. I find Daniel Craig, butch and a basher - thug like. I found it quite dark and may be made for the US market?!

I find Daniel Craig, butch and a basher - thug like. I found it quite dark and may be made for the US market?! Well, after the Austin Powers versions they couldn't really continue Bond with gadgets and such and still be serious. Don't forget Bond was allread changed a bit with Brosnan. To be honest, the old weren't very serious in my eyes. Almost a parodie of itself. I can still rmember a old one (With Lazenby?) in which a helicopter dove with a Stuka sound and had a car screeching its tires on a sand beach! But I can understand if you don't like the new ones cif you're a old style Bond fan.
northrecce
Good film.............Yes Best bond?..........Yes Win an Oscar?......doubtful I would get it on dvd when it comes out its worth it. But wouldn't pay to see it again at the cinema. There's not many brits would not enjoy this film but not sure about the rest of the world.
