When I joined the Camping and cavaning club & the Caravan Club (long story why I joined them both by mistake) I instantly got loads of Viagra ads . Guess they knew I must be about that age.

Anyhow I'm told you can get Viagra eye cream nowadays....... Don't do anything other than making you look hard.!

I think it's The Management's new way of making money :cool2:

John

John is correct - we are trying to cover the costs of HMVF.

As I have said many times before it is the usual kind folks who donate every month that allows everyone else to enjoy HMVF for free. Even those who moan about the ads - who incidently never make the effort with the donation button.

The bottom line here is that if I was to take into account Lee's, Joris's and my time and I had to pay for it then HMVF would cost around £10,000/yr to run...

All we are trying to do is to cover the server costs.

The word in the online publishing world is that in the future all content in some shape or form will be subscription based if only if it is a tiny price.

I certainly appreciated the Wooly Pully ad and bought from them as Xmas pressies, so do the let the advertisers know that their spend is not only helping Jack towards buying his next luxury yacht (and feed bill for his horses) but also brings in sales for them too

like most ads you subliminally notice them but only register those that interest you personally, until this thread I had not even appreciated the subject was about hair!
