  1. Talking of 'fishing' I have two of these in the shed that i gave £20.00 a piece for some time ago. Therefore, according to eBay, i now have £1200.00 sat in my shed ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-MILITARY-INSTRUMENT-PANEL-AUSTIN-CHAMP-HUMBER-FV1600-FERRET-LEYLAND-Martians-/262498118787?hash=item3d1e1b6c83:g:BLUAAOSwNSxU9aCo Happy hunting J. R. Hartley !
  2. Welcome in Colin, Where are these photo's you discussed ? lets take a look at her then !
  3. If you look at the rear of the vehicle, below and to the right of the main water inlet, there is a foam concentrate inlet socket. About an inch bore. In your CES there should be a pipe that fits onto this socket (about six foot long) this pipe sucks the concentrate into the pump and mixes it with water on its way out. I will try to find a photo of ours pumping foam at Rochdale Fire Service Museum.
  4. Well done Rick, If you need some help finding a turret let me know, i know where there is one with gun. Stay lucky !
  5. There should be a wiper blade fitted to the pin at the top.
  6. You are correct, it is a 432 rain hood. Good forward visibility, but nothing left or right.
  7. SORRY ! If the two of them get together at weekend, i will take a photo and let you know.
  8. You can see one in action this weekend at Heywood Tanks Yesteryear Festival if you like and take your own pics. We have an Antar Mk2 and Mk3 with a dyson trailer with four centurions. Not sure if the cent is going on the dyson, think we have too many flat tyres for that ! We'll see
  9. Thanks for the heads-up, I have to strip one in a couple of weeks time. yes it is an unusual problem
  10. Here's a photo of mine that had a rebuild in '88 It appears to have clansman fitted at that rebuild. As yet i don't have the vehicles full history, but i will. and i will take more pics of the clansman boxes fitted elsewhere in the vehicle. harness works all round, and in the turret. I hope this may shed some light ?
  11. Does anyone have any details about the OIL FILTER that is fitted to a 1971 GAZ-66. Any photos or model numbers would be a great help Thanks in advance.
  12. I'm hearing that "smiles to the mile" I own two and have no issues at the moment, but because of scaremongery i am always waiting for something to break.

  19. The doors appear to be 1200mm wide. Less 40mm (or maybe 30mm) to give opening size.
  20. I get the 'external' measurement of the door to 1360mm Probably less 20mm top and bottom to actual door opening. See attached.
  21. I get the full width of the vehicle to 2520mm Top corners of mudguards.
  22. Measurements as requested via PM. I am unable to attach photos to PM so will have to revive this thread and attach. I get the front and rear hub centres to 3030mm
