    For those who were there at the time, Stephen Bursi (on left) Ted Dixon (in drivers) i can't remember the lad on the rights name, but i can find out if necessary.

    Just so happens one of the lads who built them lives 5 mins from me and told me all about them and what was involved in building them. They made twelve of these and there are supposedly only four left. we have two, one is at chatham, and i think the other is languishing in Withams yard.

    Well done Tom. Good research also ! Is your engine OK ? I have a series one engine (1948) brand new still in original crate, with spare block, spare head and spare crank if you need them ?

    Sorry to disappoint you lads, but they are not the same as the photo you put up. Use the heat exchanger behind to give you an idea of scale Bedford, but not correct ! Never mind

    My saracen will be part of an Aden veterans parade in june. Does anyone have any photos of the correct insignia/markings and where they should be placed. I am trying to make it as 'Aden accurate' as i can for the day. I gather there should be a light blue dhow to the right of drivers hatch ?

    I have the same set up in my sarry, it all seems to work fine. I can't resolve your problem, but if you need photo's of my set up, i can do that at least. She was out all day Saturday chatting to a 434 and a 436 happily over the 353's we started off the day around 50,000mhz but moving around town picked up interference in built up areas which seemed to clear up when we dropped to 35,000 is there a household appliance that would cause that ? If some pics would help let me know
