    I'll second that! A 3.1 turbo lump for choice. By the by, Isuzu told me the cheapeast way is to grab a 3.1 Montery, the engine has vauxhall on the top but is pure Izzy underneath.

    Proably originally bought to power the milking machine and /or cooler if the mains failed. Nowadays you get a genny that fits on a tractor PTO.

    Any idea where the plane came down? There was a raid over St Mary Cray when an areil mine was dropped. The crater is allegedly where the Gas place is now.

    As for towed artillery being slow to come into action. Rubbish!! A good team can get a gun of around 105mm into action in less than a minute. Spike Milligan has some intresting observations on 'Crash Actions' in his books The difrence of course being a tracked artillery is 'supposed' to be able to get places towed can't. Though isome of the vetrans have told me that with the winch on a Quad they could get places the enemy never expected.

    Did actualy manage to get a few minutes sun to try it. worked very well against compass. Would be usable in an emergency.

    Intrestingly this was on the back of the map reading book I've just got from Chris. I assume it is Northern Hemisphere only. I'll try it against a magnetic compass.

    Ben, your one looks the beast. I've photos of two diffrent vehicles both have them. Question now is were they removed if the vehicle went overseas? The Burma Dodges used by British forces don't seem to have them.
