  1. I'll see you there Mark - local show to me as previously stated.
  2. Happy Birthday mate. You are now officially a TOG (Terry's Old Geezers).
  3. I'm joking about the King Tiger - but it would be great to see it out and about.
  4. Crikey - thought the Ward was noisy - Hope you have some ear plugs mate.
  5. The FV432 will be making an appearance - with all the others. I also heard the Tank Museums King Tiger will be making an appearance!!!
  6. I hope you are making notes on all this stuff mate - You are doing mine afterwards.
  7. I have to agree with Mark. I would take the thing back to R+R and tell them to sort it or else. If you've paid your money for the repairs etc, get them to sort it out. There may be other problems that surface in the future.
  8. Well done evryone who contributed to the cause. Top banana.
  9. I thought 432's were MOT exempt as they are Tracked vehicles???
  10. Happy Birthday Dave -
  11. Happy Birthday Mark - hope the family got you some Mutt bits. See you at War and Peace - space reserved for you and the ankle biters. Markheliops
  12. Guys - Ref the one day show at Tunbridge Wells. If you are interested - you MUST pre-register your entry - otherwise no vehicle entry. Can't stress this enough - There will be no tagging on to the convoy and hoping to slip in. Details as in previous thread. Ta
  13. Looks okay mate - but a few pictures can hide a shed full of problems. I can see grease on the springs but none on the propshafts. I would say the underneith has been pressured washed. This could be in readiness for sale as per the norm or to hide a dodgy oil leak. Only way to really tell is take it for a good test drive - not for 5 minutes but for 5 miles with a good section to get up to speed. If I pressure washed the Ward and let you take it for a test drive for a mile or so, you wouldn't find a single oil leak but take it a bit further and let the oil warm up, it squirts oil out of various places. As previously said - looks okay so go and have a look.
  14. Looked good at the show chaps. Top marks all round.
  15. Of course - the Rugged Boys will be there. Don't forget the one day show at Tunbridge Wells the Sunday before the show for those already on site.
  16. Hi all. I left the Bunker Bash today (Monday) at 1030 and arrived back at Tonbridge just after 1230hrs. No drama's on the route to and from the bash so it looks like my lucky wooden box worked. Many thanks to Lee and Ian for a cracking 6 days. The weather held out for most of the time, untill TTM and Grasshopper arrived - then it rained Beltring style. For those who thought Sunday moring was wet, you should have been there Friday evening. Other than Friday Eve and Sunday morning, the weather was fine. The 118 crew done a fab job and thanks for the beer Dave (Rambo, I gather you are holding my share on ice). Lots of faces old and new. Met Snowtrac and Andy for the first time. Metroman dropped in - and drank all of my coffee but on the plus side did bring donuts. Thanks mate. Mark (snapper) dropped in with the ankle biters - nice to see the Mutt again. Sorry I couldn't make everyone tea and coffee but once the show starts I get somewhat busy. Some dodgy geezer gate-crashed dinner on Saturday night - not sure who he was but he was sporting a mop of hair. Excellent time was had by all and have heard nothing but positive comments. Thanks to everyone who managed to take some pics as I didn't have my camera. Would be interested to see a video of the car being pulled apart if anyone managed to capture the episode. Likewise, if anyone has any pictures of the Rugged Boys I would be greatfull. All in all - a good event with no negatives that I could see. My next one is Beltring - see you there. My normal space has become the unofficial HMVF area. All welcome, regardless of vehicle or camping means. If you want a space drop me a PM or e-mail. Markheliops
  17. Hi Cripp - Where are you getting your weather reports mate? I use Gov Met (as used by pilots) so pretty reliable. It says it's going to chuck it down Wed, Thur, Fri. We shall see - but I suggest you bring your wellies. Markheliops
  18. Hi all. Been looking at the weather forecast for the week - oh dear!!! Well I was going to leave Thursday / Friday but after conferring with Lee, I'm going to plod down tomorrow(Tuesday). I have taken annual leave for the Bash and as the truck is ready and waiting, it seems pointless waiting around until Thursday for the heavens to open up. May as well make my way down in the sunshine. Once the tent is up and I'm settled, it can pee down as much as it likes - except for the show weekend of course. Anyways - see you there. Markheliops
  19. Hi all. Just a quicky - I have searched but can't find infor on tyre pressures for a Ben Hur. The info pages posted on this thread no longer work. Can someone tell me. Thanks Markheliops
  20. Hi Dave - Welcome to the forum. You are in the correct section for the DAF. As for information - I can't help much as the Bedford MJ and TM were the wagons of choice during my time. There are many brain boxes on the forum who will be able to assist you with info. Especially if you have the right military registration. They will be able to tell you where the truck was stationed and with what unit. To have a guess - I would suggest a veteran of the Gulf war as it is painted in desert camo. Good luck with your search for info. Markheliops
  21. I have 3 1966 Action Men in their boxes, plus the Scorpian Tank and the Lorry that featured in CMV. I did have a helicopter but unfortunately it crashed one sunny afternoon. As I remember, it fell out of a tree during a daring raid to take out the garden shed. Apart from the 1966 models, I have a number of 70's including old Eagle Eyes. As I re-call, the black figure was called Tom Stone and is highly sought after. Markheliops
  22. I hope he doesn't lose any more strength David - he won't be able to tighten his wheel nuts properly!! Oh, hang on a minute..................
