Plus a few additional shots of veterans who were around, some poseurs and the (good)pipe band. I have to say I am disappointed that the parade through a town liberated by the British was mainly of US vehicles with US occupants.. Nothing against them, but I would have thought for such an important occasion the effort could have been made to be, as I see it, more appropriate/relevant. Just a bit more of re-writing of history. It did seem that some of the French had a problem identifying with the British side of things. No problem being a Yank, loadsa problems being British. Seem to recall just some period civvy cars lined up on the street and a few MVs in the 'arena' in front of the museum. The bulk of the vehicles were lurking out of sight on the beach. But after about 30 minutes we decided that the parade must have already taken place. As we were walking back to the car though there were some vehicles who came into the town but we had already seen these at Bayeux in the 3pm parade.
