You must have a good view of the 'new' Mary Rose building from there? Is it open to the public yet?

All those original beams and people escaping real life to the country. :-D

Yes I have, but it is not much to look at from the back. The museum is now open but the official launch is next week I think. I had a sneek peek inside the other day and it is really good. I didn't think it was that much to look at from any angle. Spent 6 months approx watching it go up, at meal times, wondering who would finish first them or me as I was rewiring the Victory at the time. Isn't that the name of the office block?:red:

Haridimos
Farewell Ark Royal...off to a scrapyard in Turkey THE flagship of the Royal Navy was waved out of Portsmouth on her final voyage yesterday – soon to be turned into razorblades Britain’s most expensive warship at £220million and spearhead of the Iraq invasion in 2003, the Ark Royal is suffering the humiliation of being towed to a scrapyard in Turkey. The 22,000-ton ship – launched by the Queen Mother on the Tyne in 1981 – was axed two years ago and her Harrier warplanes sold cheaply to the US for spares. This left Britain without an aircraft carrier for a decade – a decision described by one expert yesterday as a “national scandal”. In 2011, the Royal Navy had to use the helicopter carrier HMS Ocean for air raids on Libya. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/401228/Farewell-Ark-Royal-off-to-a-scrapyard-in-Turkey The ship looks in pretty good shape, and here in Greece we fear that the legendary HMS Ark Royal will end up to Turkish Navy fleet.:-(

Pzkpfw-e
Doubtless anything militarilly sensitive, especially of the electronics variety, would have been removed, along with any armaments, looks like she only had a trio of Vulcan Phalanx & a pair of 20mm. The Turks could use her as a helicopter carrier, but that's about it.
Vulture
The stuff I read on the net (at work) would indicate that she's off to be scrapped Nothing, absolutely nothing about this feels good :argh:
