FRES Scout may well have only been a paper design at the time the article was written, but oddly enough this afternoon I was looking at some photos of a prototype hull on a noticeboard at Abbey Wood!

Still a good read though and fascinating to see all the time and money wasted while poor old cvrt's soldier on long after they should have been enjoying a cosseted existence on the show circuit...

a very jumbled document as some of us in Industry were working on FFLAV long before the dates stated. And industry didn't get that much money from MoD to be involved.(sum total nil!) VERDI happened after FFLAV had started and did not include all of the vehicle manufacturers as one was very busy tat the time building a real combat system - Challenger 2.

Panther was re-configured for the UK in Newcastle not Telford so not sure where the sources used to generate the document are.

Biggest problem MoD had was they wanted everything but didn't really have the money.

Now they are getting a vehicle which weighs about the same as a Warrior -which wasn't the ideal option when this all started so why didn't they just update more Warriors/ build some more? As was proposed by DA Warrior turret and DA Warrior hull eons ago?
