44GPW
Hi, Nice find, but can i suggest you start your own thread? It will stop your story being mixed up with mine!! Chassis number will be on the chassis rail above the step / tyre inflator (passenger side).

44GPW
Thanks Snort, Yes, he has done a fantastic job, i cant fault it!! Martin is retiring in June and there isnt many others doing British Canvas, so you may want to get your order in soon? First show is Bassingbourn in May. Hopefully all the work will be done by then but there is still quite a bit to do. Cheers Richard

dan
Hi Guys, Well after a busy day i finally got my MW home and squeezed it into the garage with my Jeep and Jeep project. Nice original RAF MW, i'm sure some of you will be familar with it. Lots of good bits and some not so good, but i wanted something that needed a bit of tidying up, so its perfect for me. Only a couple of photos as i ran out of time, but will add some more detailed photos next week. A couple of questions. 1. Is anyone doing replacement wiring looms? 2. Are the door stop straps supposed to be leather or webbing (a photo would be really helpful). 3. Handbrake gator -does this fix to the floor with a plate like a Jeep, or just screwed through the canvas (again, a photo would really help. Thanks Richard [/she is beutiful -love it!]
44GPW
Data plate information uncovered. Maybe a rebuild plate??
44GPW
The old wiring loom being removed. I have never seen so many wires...... Most of the old loom was in a very bad way. A fire hazard if ever there was one!!

44GPW
Thanks guys. The wiring wasn't as difficult as I anticipated. Providing you have a good wiring diagram and buy a decent loom you should have no issues. I took my time and treble checked everything I done which paid off with everything working as it should first time. Next jobs are to fit two replacement trackgrip tyres to the rears then replace the passenger side glass. That will leave fitting the correct manifold/Carb set up and repairing fuel tank number 2. The jobs seem endless but hopefully by May I will have an MW ready for France in June
