Hello Shane

Welcome in :D

Would you mind messaging me or posting details of your Ferret. I am compiling a register :-)

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt

My Ferret Mk1 entered service in 1951 Reg No 32BA80

This was my first sight of my Ferret. If you want more info. please feel free to contact direct on shane.potts@o2.co.uk. Then I can send you more photos and the vehicle history from Bovington, if that helps.

Regards

Shane

Great! Thanks for the info. You really do have a very early ferret there :-)

Hi Matt

I believe that my Ferret was one made in the first hunderd built. Stamped on the hull underneath ID plate is 8 B 92

I dont know if you can make it out from the pic. Maybe you could let me know if this is so?

How many Ferret have you get listed so far?

Regards Shane

Hi Shane,

More like in the first 10 ! I checked up and noted that I worked on 32BA78 in 1980 when it was in-service, and that was No.4. Your earlier post of into service date of 1951 may be incorrect, as your hull ID plate shown, says built Sept 1952

Hello :-)

Fantastic! Yes Richard is bang on. Your ferret is number 6! Built Sept 52.

Ferret numbers 1, 3 and 6 all still exist.

Would you be able to post a pic of the data plate too?

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt

I have attached two photos of ID plate taken before restoration hope you can make out the data

HI Shane,

You've finally made it on here then, Neil's on here as well (vpk109) so that's the 3 Muskateers on here then (Neil, you and myself).

Good to have you aboard all you need to do now is to get a picture of all of our vehicles (including the Dave's Shorland) and then that would be a good photo.

For those who don't know Neil, Shane and myself usually travel round together in our vehicles (with Neil as escort)
