our MK1 rims are aluminium, and to add to todays useless information, an inflated ferret tyre on a rim is 75 kilograms. Thats a definate hernia to get spare back on its mount single handed

regards lewis

.....-a measly 75kgs? ..... you ought to try manhandling a saracen wheel/tyre, (or 6!) around,.... I reckon they are getting on for around 180-200kgs each!:undecided:

You should try an Antar wheel and tyre at 1/4 Ton.

You beat me to it Mike, once had a puncture on an inner rear on way to Stonleigh back in the 90's, I just left it untill we got there and there were plenty of willing helpers around to gve me a lift !
